Overview

The Philippines is the destination of choice for voice and the second most preferred destination, next to India, for BPO and other non-voice complex services. Talent availability, high quality, and cost-effectiveness drive the outsourcing industry and have provided sustained rapid growth and expansion. Employment exceeded 440,000 and revenues $7.2 billion in 2009. The Philippine IT-BPO Road Map 2016 developed by Outsource2Philippines (O2P) and Everest Group estimated 2010 employment and revenue at 530,000 and US$9 billion, respectively.

As a result of visibility and support provided by the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) and companies like O2P and investor-friendly government initiatives, investment by IT-BPO firms and shared services operations is expected to further accelerate in both established business districts and next- wave cities. The Road Map forecast for 2016 shows the Philippines attaining a 10- to 15-percent share of the global market (Everest, 2010) with US$25 billion in revenues, provided 15- to 20-percent CAGR is sustained (Philippine IT-BPO Road Map 2016).

Companies in major markets like the U.S. are realizing that the Philippines ought to be included in every sustainability strategy.

Outsource2Philippines (O2P) provides a cost-effective, timely mechanism for companies to receive professional support in analyzing the suitability of outsourcing selected operations to the Philippines, and in implementing outsourcing programs.
