Cebu ICT 2005 conference highlights opportunities
for Asia's emerging ITES industry
(July 13, 2005) - Outsource2Philippines chief executive
Frank Holz (standing) recently led a panel session with senior executives
from the Philippine IT-enabled services sector at the Cebu ICT 2005
conference, following a presentation from New Delhi-based National
Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) president
Kiran Karnik via live video feed. There was general agreement and
enthusiasm for the idea of closer linkages between India and the
Philippines, and participants agreed that the two countries share
many of the same issues and opportunities, as well as values of
high-quality and reliable production in an increasingly competitive
world environment. Panelists for the session were (seated from left):
Emerson Network Power (Philippines) Inc. vice president Laurence
Chan, SPI Technologies president Ernest Cu, IBM Philippines general
manager Joaquin Quintos, and Business Processing Association of
the Philippines chairman and PeopleSupport CEO Bong Borja.
