Announce establishment of complex legal services center
Several Thomson Reuters executives arrive in Manila to visit company offices and establish a team to support global legal content initiatives at the Makati site. This announcement reinforces the company’s commitment to the Philippine offices as a primary support center for Thomson Reuters English-speaking clients worldwide.
Thomson Reuters has been in the Philippines for 63 years, and has a growing presence in Manila. In addition to being a global service center, the Makati site also is a Center of Excellence for Thomson Reuters.
Executives visiting the site are from the legal businesses of Thomson Reuters and include Cheryl Giraulo, VP, Global Content Centers; Tom Leighton, VP, Litigation Content Center; and Fred Gordon, VP, Content Operations. The company’s long-standing presence in the country and operations in Makati make it a logical location for global legal content production.
According to Giraulo, “Thomson Reuters knows the landscape of Manila, and we know the unique capabilities of the local labor pool. We are confident that we can sustain our growth here, and this move reflects our commitment to growing our capabilities here and around the world. The Philippines, with its highly educated workforce, was the logical location to set up a center for complex services such as the ones the division provides.”
“We at the Manila Center are proud of our level of service and professionalism, and we look forward to expanding our Thomson Reuters sites to accommodate additional lines of business. From customer service to finance, the Philippines is providing increasingly complex services for Thomson Reuters customers worldwide,” said Raoul Teh, Senior Site Officer, Thomson Reuters Philippines.
Site Officer for Thomson Reuters, Legal, Roel Roque, expressed his confidence that the Manila site would deliver the same level of service that Thomson Reuters provides its clients worldwide. “We work hard to ensure our customers are given the information, expertise, and leadership that Thomson Reuters is known for from anywhere around the world. The Legal Services division in the Philippines assures clients that we provide the best service, from a primary location with a reputation that likewise matches the Thomson Reuters guarantee.
